Mighty Yeti Studios is a creator-owned indie animation studio specializing in kids and family entertainment. We’re on the lookout for a self-driven Production Assistant to collaborate with our creative team on various exciting projects. All positions are remote freelance/part-time independent contractor roles.

Role Overview:

As a Production Assistant at Mighty Yeti Studios, you will have the opportunity to support our studio and projects and make a huge impact. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in animation production and be part of a dynamic studio working on original projects for all ages.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the production team in daily tasks, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between departments (Art, Animation, Storyboard, etc.).
• Track project timelines and update production calendars.
• Help manage file organization and ensure that assets are properly labeled and stored according to the studio’s pipeline.
• Take notes during reviews and meetings and distribute them to the relevant team members.
• Communicate progress updates and relay feedback between departments as needed.
• Support the coordination of freelancers and external collaborators to ensure timely delivery of assets and materials.
• Help troubleshoot minor production issues and escalate larger problems to the production team.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in a production or administrative role, ideally within an animation, VFX, or entertainment environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of file management and version control practices.
• A proactive attitude – you like to help organize and are self-driven.
• Familiarity with animation production pipelines and workflows is a plus.
• Proficiency in production management software like Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
• A passion for animation and the creative process, with a willingness to learn and grow.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Passion for Animation: A love for animation, characters, family entertainment, and storytelling.
• Creative Skills: Knowledge or experience with graphics tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite). Familiarity with animation software such as Maya, Unreal Engine, or Toon Boom Harmony is a plus (not required).
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility: Comfort with a project-based, freelance work structure. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
