Core Keeper Crossplay: Here’s What You Need to Know

core keeper crossplay

If you love mining, exploring, and building with friends, Core Keeper is a fantastic game to dive into. It’s a multiplayer sandbox adventure where you dig through underground caves, gather resources, and fight mysterious creatures. If you’re a fan of Terraria or Minecraft, this is definitely one to check out. Naturally, with a game like this, Anyone would question if core keeper crossplay?

You start off as an explorer who wakes up next to a strange relic called the Core, with no clue how you got there. From there, it’s all about gathering resources, crafting tools, and building up your base while uncovering the secrets buried deep below. But this isn’t just a chill mining and building game you’ll also have to take on dangerous creatures, explore hidden biomes, and battle tough bosses guarding some seriously valuable loot. The game is even better with friends.

|Is Core Keeper Crossplay?

Well, it depends. If you’re playing on PC, then good news—you can play with friends across different PC versions, like Steam and the Microsoft Store. So, no matter where you bought the game, you’re covered.

If you’re on console, things are a bit more limited. PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 players can play together, and the same goes for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S users. That means if you and a friend are on different generations of the same console, you’re good to go.

|What About PC and Console Crossplay?

Here’s where things get tricky. As of now, Core Keeper doesn’t support crossplay between PC and consoles. So, if you’re on PC and your friend is on PlayStation or Xbox, you won’t be able to join the same world—at least not yet.

Also, PlayStation and Xbox players can’t play together either. If you’re on PlayStation, you’re stuck with PlayStation players, and the same goes for Xbox. Honestly, that’s a bit of a bummer, but hopefully, that will change in the future.

|Can Nintendo Switch Players Join the Fun?

Sadly, Switch players can’t play with anyone on other platforms right now. If you’re on Switch, you’re limited to playing with other Switch players. I was hoping for full crossplay support, but for now, it’s not in the cards.

|Will Crossplay Be Added in the Future?

The developers haven’t confirmed anything, but they’ve mentioned that they’re interested in expanding crossplay. So, fingers crossed! I’d love to see full crossplay added, and I know I’m not the only one. Keep an eye on official updates, hopefully, they’ll make it happen soon.

For now, if you’re looking to play Core Keeper with friends, just make sure you’re on the same platform. It’s a bit restrictive, but at least there are some crossplay options if you’re on PC or within the same console family.
