<p>We&#8217;re looking for a designer-programmer hybrid to help us create gameplay prototypes that feel intimate and weirdly alive. <p>This is a highly creative, hands-on role for someone who’s already been building their own games, experimenting with mechanics, and chasing unusual ideas. You’ll be joining a small, senior team (currently 4 people) where you’ll be a core contributor to exploring and shaping the direction and feel of the game.</p>

<p>Gameplay Prototyping</p>

<li>Build rapid 3D gameplay prototypes in Unreal</li>



<li>Act as the team’s champion for game feel — tuning movement controls, physics, and animal responses to feel more tactile, expressive, and alive</li>

<p>Core Experience</p>

<li>5+ years of professional game development experience</li>



<li>Strong ability to build gameplay prototypes (C++ experience preferred, or strong C# background with willingness to learn C++)</li>



<li>Proven experience creating expressive, “juicy” gameplay interactions</li>

<p>In this role, you will own the design and optimization of the game’s progression, economy, events, and monetization systems. Your mission is to create compelling short-, mid-, and long-term goals that keep players engaged for months and years while maximizing player satisfaction and business performance.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading">Your Role:</h4>

<li>Own and evolve the game’s economy, progression, reward systems, and monetization</li>



<li>Balance and optimize game systems, collaborating closely with the Level Designer to deliver a rewarding long-term player experience</li>



<li>Design and evolve LiveOps events, tournaments, and seasonal content that drive engagement, retention, and revenue</li>



<li>Optimize monetization systems including offers, currencies, energy systems, and booster economy</li>



<li>Build and maintain economy models, balancing spreadsheets, simulations, and forecasting models</li>



<li>Analyze player behavior, progression bottlenecks, and monetization opportunities using game data and KPIs</li>



<li>Define hypotheses, design A/B tests, and iterate features based on data-driven insights</li>



<li>Partner closely with Product, Level Design, BI/Analytics, Art, and Development to continuously improve game performance</li>



<li>Confidently evolve a mature live game by introducing meaningful improvements while respecting the expectations of a loyal player base</li>



<li>Clearly communicate design rationale, trade-offs, and recommendations across the team</li>

<li>5+ years of experience designing and operating successful free-to-play mobile games</li>



<li>Strong experience in systems design, economy design, progression design, and LiveOps</li>



<li>Experience working on mature live games with long-term player progression and economy balancing</li>



<li>Proven track record working on casual or puzzle games</li>



<li>Ideally experienced with Solitaire TriPeaks, card games, casino games, or other long-lived casual games</li>



<li>Experience balancing existing systems while minimizing disruption to long-term player behavior</li>



<li>Strong understanding of player motivation, retention mechanics, monetization, and long-term engagement</li>

<p>We are looking for a Contract Advanced Content Designer to help define and implement high-quality gameplay content and systems for our upcoming project, Guild Wars 3. This is an advanced role where you’ll be asked to own complex iteration, work collaboratively with multiple disciplines, and establish and maintain quality and technical standards for our content.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR</h4>

<li>Collaborate – Partner with Level Design, Technical Design, Narrative, Art, and Engineering to deliver cohesive and quality player-facing content.</li>



<li>Plan – Work with Open World and Content Leads to support development timelines and goals for content completion.</li>



<li>Implement &#8211; Use Unreal Engine 5 tools and scripting systems to build and iterate on gameplay experiences.</li>



<li>Iterate – Work with Designers, Engineers, and Technical Designers to establish and perfect content delivery pipeline and tools.</li>



<li>Listen &#8211; Participate in playtests and incorporate feedback to improve pacing, clarity, and player engagement.</li>

<li>Pre-production game design experience.</li>

<li>Strong understanding of narrative, encounter design, and mission flow</li>

<p>ArenaNet is looking for a Materials Artist to help bring the world in our upcoming title, Guild Wars 3, to life. In this role, you’ll create high-quality environment assets that shape the visual identity, storytelling, and atmosphere of the game world.</p>



<p>We’re looking for an artist with a strong eye for form, material definition, composition, and storytelling who thrives in a highly collaborative environment and is passionate about building immersive worlds players want to explore.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">WHAT YOU’LL DO</h4>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Create high-quality PBR materials and surface treatments that support and elevate the project’s visual direction.</li>



<li>Build and manage Substance Designer graphs for tileable materials, trims, and surface detail.</li>



<li>Create 3D props and environment assets for a wide range of locations in Unreal Engine 5.</li>



<li>Partner closely with Tech Art, Concept Art, Environment Art, Design, and Art Direction to translate visual targets and gameplay needs into compelling in-game assets.</li>



<li>Collaborate with Environment Artists to ensure materials are integrated consistently and effectively across in-game environments.</li>



<li>Collaborate with Technical Artists and Engineers to improve workflows, pipelines, optimization, and asset integration processes.</li>



<li>Contribute to the development and documentation of material workflows, standards, and libraries.</li>



<li>Track and address material-related bugs.</li>



<li>Proactively seek and apply feedback while contributing ideas that elevate the overall visual direction of the project.</li>



<li>Balance artistic quality with performance, readability, gameplay needs, and production constraints.</li>



<li>Continuously push the quality of the game through strong craftsmanship, iteration, and attention to detail.</li>
</ul>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading">WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL</h4>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>3+ years of professional game development experience creating environment or prop art for shipped titles.</li>



<li>Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality material and surface creation across a variety of styles and real world surfaces.</li>



<li>Excellent understanding of form, composition, materials, scale, and environmental storytelling.</li>



<li>Experience creating game-ready materials and assets from high-poly through optimized in-game implementation.</li>



<li>Strong proficiency in Substance Designer, Maya, ZBrush, Blender and Photoshop.</li>



<li>Experience working in Unreal Engine workflows, ideally UE5.</li>



<li>Understanding of physically based rendering (PBR) pipelines and modern asset creation techniques. asset optimization and best practices in content creation.</li>



<li>Strong collaboration and communication skills with both artistic and technical teams, with ability to both give and receive constructive criticism.</li>



<li>Ability to iterate quickly while maintaining a high level of polish and craftsmanship.</li>



<li>Passion for games, world building, and creating immersive player experiences.</li>
</ul>
