Chess.com is one of the largest gaming sites in the world and the #1 platform for playing, learning, and enjoying chess.

We are a team of 600+ fully remote people in 60+ countries working hard to serve the global chess community. We are here to support 250M+ chess players worldwide with the best possible product, content, and tools to serve the community!

We are a tech company. A gaming company. A content company. And we do it all with passion and commitment to the game. Above all we prize our mission-driven, flat, life-celebrating, no-corporate culture, and we look forward to meeting you and learning more about what you can bring to the team.

About You

First off, you love to play chess and want to help others discover that same joy. You are intimately familiar with Chess.com products and care deeply about what makes the experience fun, sticky, and rewarding for players of all levels.

Secondly, you have extensive experience as a product manager shipping consumer-facing products that drive engagement and retention. You have worked deeply with engineering teams to define what success looks like in an ambiguous environment. You communicate regularly and successfully to executive stakeholders.

Finally, you have technical know-how. You work closely with engineering all the way through to delivery and drive on execution. You talk through pipelines and data so you can have clear and productive conversations with engineering.

What you’ll do

Shape the core product roadmap and vision. In close partnership with leadership, shape both the near-term roadmap and the long-term vision for the core Chess.com experience, making the product more fun, engaging, and enjoyable for players at every level. Identify what keeps players coming back, what causes them to leave, and what will delight them next.

Bring ideas and sharpen them with the team. Come with your own point of view on what’s worth building and why. Engage with feedback from leadership and peers: internalize it, push back where you disagree, and use it to make the work better. The vision is built together; you’re a strong, informed voice in it.

Operate in public. As a globally remote company spanning many time zones, async Slack communication is how decisions get made. Work out loud in channels: brainstorm openly, pose sharp questions, make decisive small calls with reasoning attached, and be explicit on what’s urgent vs. not. Engage with depth and without ego, pull the right people in by name to build alignment. Make the most of sync meeting time by taking on the biggest questions.

Partner deeply with engineering, early and through to delivery. Shape the technical approach alongside engineering partners, write specs that are crisp on intent and honest about tradeoffs, and be a force driving through to execution. Unblock, reprioritize, and ship.

Own engagement metrics and move them. Define the metrics that matter for your area, build intuition for what drives them, and hold yourself accountable to moving them. Use data to prioritize ruthlessly, run experiments, and know when to trust your gut vs. wait for more signal.

Use AI to prototype, de-risk, and accelerate. Build mocks, test flows, and pressure-test ideas yourself before engineering invests. Bring working artifacts into discussions, not just decks.

Required Skills

4+ years in product management, with strong consumer product experience. You’ve shipped consumer-facing products that millions of people use and love.

Excellent product taste, especially in the chess context. You know what feels good and what doesn’t. You understand what a beginner needs vs. a club player vs. a titled player, and you can articulate the differences in what makes each experience great.

High-velocity communicator. You communicate clearly and concisely at speed and across many projects. You act as the focal point across design, engineering, stakeholders, product peers, and executives, digging into engineering specifics in one thread then zooming out to exec-level outcomes in the next. You operate primarily in writing, and your throughput is high enough that multiple workstreams keep moving without you becoming a bottleneck.

7+ years in product management, with strong consumer product experience. You’ve shipped consumer-facing products that millions of people use and love.

AI-native. You already use AI daily to prototype, explore ideas, and accelerate execution. You build working prototypes as the basis for discussion.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager who has built and scaled programmatic systems at consumer commerce companies. You’ve shipped great products, you know how SEO works under the hood, and you can reason about architecture for systems that produce millions of units of output from structured inputs.

You’ll join Xsolla Pages — a CEO-priority initiative — as the IC product lead who turns vision into a real, indexed, monetizing product surface. You’ll partner closely with different teams within the company in a true cross-functional environment.

You thrive when handed a complex, partially-defined system and asked to bring order to it: defining specs for new verticals, designing the auto-generation backbone, instrumenting the analytics, and integrating attribution — all in tight sprint cycles. If you’ve done this at Shopify, Etsy, Pinterest, Yelp, Tripadvisor, Wix, or Airbnb, we want to talk to you.

ABOUT US

Xsolla is a global commerce company with robust tools and services to help developers solve the inherent challenges of the video game industry. From indie to AAA, companies partner with Xsolla to help them fund, distribute, market, and monetize their games. Grounded in the belief in the future of video games, Xsolla is resolute in the mission to bring opportunities together, and continually make new resources available to creators. Headquartered and incorporated in Los Angeles, California, Xsolla operates as the merchant of record and has helped over 1,500+ game developers to reach more players and grow their businesses around the world. With more paths to profits and ways to win, developers have all the things needed to enjoy the game.

For more information, visit xsolla.com.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end product delivery for new verticals — Games, Influencers, Retail, Telecom — from strategy through specs to partner launch.

• Own the page auto-generation system for millions of dynamically-generated pages: UGC integration, SEO automation, sitemap generation, Schema.org structured data, and 26-language localization.

• Define and instrument KPIs across all Pages plugins (claim rate, conversion, indexation, partner adoption); build dashboards with the analytics team.

• Own ELIAA attribution integration end-to-end — technical design, alignment with the ELIAA team, integration into the XLA Pages architecture.

• Manage the Pages product backlog across multiple Jira projects (SB, XPF, XPM, XLAPAGES, EXM); run sprint planning, dependency tracking, deadline management.

• Partner with engineering, design, SEO, BD, and partner-facing teams to ship with quality and speed.

• Serve as the subject-matter expert for Pages across the Xsolla org — translate executive vision into engineering execution.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 6+ years of product management experience at a consumer-facing D2C platform with a large catalog of programmatically-generated pages (Shopify, Etsy, Pinterest, Yelp, Tripadvisor, Wix, Airbnb, or similar).

• Demonstrated experience shipping complex web-centric systems with measurable SEO outcomes (organic traffic growth, indexation rate, ranking improvements).

• Strong technical literacy — comfortable reading API specs, reasoning about data flow, working with engineers on system architecture (you don’t need to code, but you need to think like one).

• Hands-on experience with SEO at scale: structured data, sitemap strategy, server-side rendering, Core Web Vitals.

• Track record of defining KPIs and building analytics instrumentation for new product surfaces.

• Experience managing complex backlogs across multiple Jira projects with cross-team dependencies.

• Excellent written communication — you’ll write specs, PRDs, and partner-facing docs that need to be unambiguous.

• Bias for action and comfort in a fast-moving, partially-defined environment.

Nice To Have:

• Experience in gaming, esports, or game-publisher commerce.

• Familiarity with attribution platforms (ELIAA, AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch).

• Experience with global products.

• Prior experience with payment platforms or merchant-of-record models.

• AI-friendly

$130,000 – $160,000 a year

Benefits:

We are passionate about fostering a supportive environment for our team, so we prioritize the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our employees and their families through a comprehensive Benefits Program. This includes 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision plans, unlimited Flexible Time Off, and a personalized career roadmap for each employee.
You will: Develop the future of a groundbreaking AI-enabled platform that transforms the game development industry.

Must have: A proven history of launching products with a platform approach, attracting broad user bases.

WHO WE ARE | WHAT WE DO

At Yodo1, we don’t just grow games—we help turn them into household names.

With billions of downloads across our portfolio, we’ve spent more than a decade shaping the growth of iconic titles. From helping first-time creators monetize their debut games, to bringing world-class IPs from Hasbro, Paramount, Legendary, and Sony Pictures into the hands of top studios such as Rivergame, Candivore, 37Games, and Tencent Studios—we’ve proven what’s possible when creativity meets global expertise.

Yodo1 Games is raising the bar: transforming great titles into lasting franchises that define gaming for generations. Drawing on experience with successes like Transformers: Earth Wars, Rodeo Stampede, and Ski Safari, we provide the systems, partnerships, and global reach that help visionary developers build worlds players will return to for decades.

Joining Yodo1 Games means more than a job—it means becoming part of a team that lives and breathes games, works with some of the most talented creators in the industry, and is driven by a mission to shape the future of gaming.

We love games. We play games. And together, we grow games that last.

WHAT WE BELIEVE | HOW WE WORK

We believe in the future and power of the mobile gaming industry and that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to build a life they love through games—from anywhere in the world.

We believe you know when and where you do your best work. We are fully remote by design and we WFA: Work From Anywhere. We don’t impose hours or limit time off.

We are driven by performance and we experiment often. We care about impact, not titles.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a Platform Product Manager to assist the creation of a next-generation platform that empowers game developers to operate and scale their games effectively.

Cooperative. You help others succeed; you give and receive feedback well.

Humble. You ask for help; you are quick to admit and learn from your mistakes.

SMART. You work and communicate in ways that are Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

WHAT WE EXPECT

We believe that games should be played for decades but many are abandoned even when a loyal community is screaming to keep them alive. DECA specializes in acquiring games from other developers and reinvigorating them to continue to entertain for decades. When other studios see an old game, we see a fantastic set of problems to solve and a huge opportunity.

We’ve managed to maintain a small company feel with the stability and resources of a much larger one. We fully believe in the flexibility of a remote workplace. Team members are trusted to manage their time and get things done independently. We think that egos and politics need to be checked at the virtual door. That means no jerks are allowed, that no job is too small for anyone, and an openness to help and learn from each other is required. We love the challenge of working within constraints and love when we succeed as a team. Check out more about us and our values on our website (www.decagames.com).

About the role

Tirelessly drive forward data-exploration, user behaviour analysis and other statistical approaches on the product you are responsible for as well as the continuous monitoring of critical business KPIs. Your analytical understanding helps you to see clearly how our products grow and how these can be improved.

This is a remote position, you can work from anywhre in the world as long as it is within core working hours of 9:00 – 18:00 CET

WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

Monitor, analyze, and act on key business and gameplay metrics (e.g. retention, engagement, monetization)

Develop a deep understanding of player motivations, progression systems, and difficulty curves across casual/puzzle games

Report on game performance, LiveOps impact, and forecasts to the Head of Studio

Ensure consistent execution and quality of LiveOps pipelines and content delivery

Assess and optimize existing game systems and core loops, with a strong focus on extracting maximum value from mature titles

Strong understanding of player motivation, progression systems, and difficulty balancing in casual games

Experience leading cross-functional teams and effectively managing priorities and resources
