Description
We are seeking a talented 3D Environment Artist to join our development team and help create stunning and immersive game worlds. The ideal candidate will have a strong artistic eye and proficiency in 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting, as well as experience with industry-standard software such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max. You will collaborate closely with designers and other artists to bring concepts to life, ensuring that environments are visually captivating and optimized for performance. A passion for gaming and an understanding of gameplay mechanics are essential for this role.
Performance Metrics
3D Environment Artist will be measured according to the metric below, on a six (6) score rating scale:
- On time delivery of project deliverables .
- Outcome delivered as per project specifications.
- Outcome delivered as per specifications consistently.
- Time spent on an outcome is within project or budgeted mandays.
- Successful application of new skills on a project which resulted in:
– New opportunities/upsell as a direct result of new capabilities.
– Improved efficiency (time spent is less than budget)
– Improved quality. - Improved efficiency of existing skills, when comparing before/after completion time which resulted in:
– Reduced frequency of repeat mistakes.

Job Skills
3D Environment Artist will possess the following competencies:
Production Ready
- 3dsMax/Maya/Blender .
- Substance Painter.
- PBR workflow Photoshop
- Game asset pipeline (highpoly, game ready lowpoly, texturing, baking)
- Unreal Engine Shader/Material/Asset Set-up.
- Unreal Engine Rendering (Lighting, Rendering)
Additional Skills
Every 3D Environment Artist must also demonstrate at least one (1) additional competency at Production-ready proficiency, or two (2) additional competencies at beginner-level:
- Hard-surface modelling
- Set-dressing / level assembly
- Lighting
- VFX
- Shader creation
- Substance Designer texture creation
- Organic sculpting
- adaptation to clients proprietary engine & workflow
- Zbrush
- UE Blueprints/Scripting
