Is Sons of the Forest on PS5?

As of February 2025, Sons of the Forest is not available on PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4. Endnight Games released the survival horror sequel in early access for PC in February 2023, but it has yet to arrive on consoles. Despite strong demand from PlayStation players, the developers have not confirmed any plans for a PS4 or PS5 version.

Endnight Games has focused on improving and expanding the PC version before considering other platforms. The game launched in early access, meaning the developers are still adding content, fixing bugs, and optimizing performance. Porting Sons of the Forest to PlayStation would require significant adjustments to ensure a smooth experience, especially with the game’s complex survival mechanics and AI-driven enemies.

Another factor is that the original game, The Forest, also followed a similar development path. It first launched on PC before eventually coming to PS4. However, that port took several years, so a similar timeline could apply to Sons of the Forest.

Will sons of the forest be on ps5?

While there is no official confirmation, there is a possibility that Sons of the Forest will be released on PlayStation in the future. Many survival games that started as PC exclusives eventually made their way to consoles, often after the full version was finalized. Since The Forest was eventually ported to PS4, Endnight Games may consider doing the same for Sons of the Forest once development is complete.

However, given that the game has yet to reach full release on PC, a console version—if it happens—could still be a long way off.

For now, PlayStation users can only wait for official updates. Fans who want a PS4 or PS5 version should follow Endnight Games on social media and express their interest in a console release. Strong demand could influence the developers to prioritize a PlayStation port.
Sons of the Forest remains a PC-exclusive for now, with no confirmed release for PS4 or PS5. While a PlayStation port is possible in the future, it depends on the developers’ plans after finishing the PC version. Until then, PlayStation players will have to wait for further announcements.
