How to evolve feebas legends za? Feebas returns in Pokémon Legends: Z-A through the Mega Dimension DLC, giving players access to Milotic, one of strongest bulky Water-type special attackers in the game. While Milotic is absolutely worth adding to your team, evolving Feebas isn’t as straightforward as leveling it up.
This guide explains exactly how to evolve Feebas into Milotic, where to find Feebas if you don’t have one yet, and how to obtain the required Prism Scale.
|Feebas Evolution Method in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Unlike standard evolutions, Feebas evolves into Milotic through a trade-based method.
|How Feebas Evolves
To evolve Feebas into Milotic, you must:
- Give Feebas a Prism Scale
- Trade it with another player
Once the trade is completed, Feebas will immediately evolve into Milotic.
This means you’ll need access to either local trading or online trades to complete the evolution.
|Feebas Trade Code for Milotic Evolution
To make things easier, many players use a shared trade code specifically for Feebas evolution.
Recommended Trade Code:
0048 0048
This code matches Feebas’ Hyperspace Pokédex number. When using it, you’ll typically trade a Feebas holding a Prism Scale and receive another Feebas holding a Prism Scale in return. Both players then end up with a Milotic after the trade completes.

|How to Get a Prism Scale in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
There are currently two known ways to obtain a Prism Scale in the game.

|Method 1: Side Mission 160 – Feebas’ New Friends
The most reliable way to get a Prism Scale is by completing Side Mission 160: Feebas’ New Friends.
Mission Details:
- Location: Just west of Wild Zone 2
- Requirement: Give a Feebas to the NPC Soucian
Reward: 1 Prism Scale
Important things to note:
The mission only unlocks after completing Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 3 (Mega Tatsugiri)
The Feebas you give to Soucian is not returned, so make sure you keep an extra Feebas for evolution
|Method 2: Golden Poké Balls in 5-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones
Prism Scales can also drop from Golden Poké Balls found in 5-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones.
Here’s how it works:
- Complete all objectives in a Hyperspace Wild Zone
- A Golden Poké Ball will spawn somewhere in the area
- Breaking it has a chance to drop a Prism Scale
Tips to improve your odds:
- Increase the Item Power: Special stat using Donuts
- Focus on 5-Star zones, as lower tiers appear to have much lower drop chances
Some players report Prism Scales appearing in regular Poké Balls in 5-Star zones, but this isn’t fully confirmed yet.
|How to Get Feebas in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
If you don’t already have Feebas, you’ll need to hunt it down first.
Feebas appears in:
- 2-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones
- Zones that feature Water-type Pokémon
|How to Make Feebas Spawn
- Rest at a bench in Lumiose City to change the time of day
- This rerolls available Hyperspace Wild Zones
- Look for 2-Star zones with a Water-type icon
- Check the Pokémon portraits shown for that zone
- Enter the zone if Feebas appears in the lineup
It may take a few rerolls, but Feebas will eventually show up if you keep cycling zones.
|Is Milotic Worth It?
Absolutely. Milotic excels as a bulky Water-type with strong special attack and survivability. It fits well into many team compositions and performs especially well in longer fights where its durability really shines.
Evolving Feebas in Pokémon Legends: Z-A takes a bit of effort, but payoff is well worth it. Between tracking down Feebas, securing a Prism Scale, and completing a trade, process feels rewarding, and Milotic is a powerful addition to any roster.
